On February 21st, the Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to the 1500 block of Baltimore Pike for a fire type unknown. A minute later, the dispatcher received another call reporting a vehicle on fire at 1530 Baltimore Pike. Fire Police Lieutenant (Michaels) arrived to find an engine compartment well involved with an exposed deck attached to a house. Rescue 23 arrived and stretched an 1 3/4" hand-line down the driveway. Crews had the fire under control within 6 minutes of being on the scene. The fire was held to the automobile. Units turned it over to the vehicle owner and cleared the incident.
