The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched at 1045 hours to assist the West Grove Fire Company with a structure fire at the BB&T bank. Engine 22-1 was the first to arrive and found a 1 story commercial building with nothing evident from all sides. Engine 22-1's crew stretched a hand-line into the building and found a refrigerator smoking. Crews pulled the refrigerator to the exterior but there was still fire remaining in the wall. Engine 23-2’s crew arrived and was assigned to assist Longwood’s rescue crew with removing the concrete sidewalk away from the building. Crews exposed the B side exterior wall from the sidewalk. Crews were released around 1400 hours.
