It was with deepest regret that the Modena Fire Company announced the passing of Fire Police Captain Ronald Himes. Ronald was a member of Modena for multiple years. He was always willing to assist Avondale whenever needed. He has brought Traffic 37 down for multiple calls and special functions within Avondale’s first due response area. Avondale sent Traffic 23 to support Ronald’s family and friends while he was laid to rest. Traffic 23 was detailed for four hours on Thursday afternoon. It then attended Mr. Himes’ funeral at the Wildes funeral home in Parkesburg on Friday morning. Mr. Himes your time and effort to assist in everything you could in Avondale was definitely a huge help and was greatly appreciated! Rest easy brother! You will be missed!
