At 1022 hours, on Monday April 8th, the Avondale Fire Company was alerted as automatic mutual aid to Kennett Fire Company on a reported house fire on Linden Circle. Units responded with-in seconds of the dispatch and were advised of "Smoke coming from the room where the heater is". Engine 24 arrived as the first due engine, laid a supply line from Mill road and advised there was nothing showing from the exterior. The Engine 24 crew began investigating for the source. Engine 23-1 arrived as the second due engine, hooking into the hydrant at Mill Road and Linden Circle to supply Engine 24's supply line if needed. The engine crew reported to the command and stood-by. The source was determined to be a malfunctioning heater. The command reduced the incident down to units on the scene. Avondale units cleared at 1054 hours.
