The Avondale Fire Company along with West Grove Fire and EMS, Kennett Fire, and Longwood Fire Company (RIT) were dispatched to the 500 Block of Sullivan Road for a reported house fire. Chief 23 responded within seconds getting the report from the fire board of a chimney fire with possible extension. Captain 23 (Franks) arrived on scene with nothing showing. Engine 23-1 arrived and the crew went inside and checked for extension using thermal imaging cameras. Ladder 22 (Wood) backed up the driveway and the crew went on the roof to check the chimney and used chains to clean it. Chief 23 placed the incident under control at 2056 and down graded the incident.
