| The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched for a tree fire in the 700 block of East Avondale Road at 1649 hours. Chief 23 went responding with the report of a tree on fire behind the garage. Chief 23 arrived to find a brush fire to the rear of the residence. Engine 23-2 with four arrived shortly after and pulled the booster line. Crews had the fire under control quickly and the incident was reduced. All units cleared at 1719 hours.
Around 1900 hours the company was then alerted to alarm bells in the area of 16 Roberts Way. Chief and Engine 23-2 responded. Crews found a retention pond to be the cause of the sound. Crews cleared shortly after. |
