The Cochranville, Union of Oxford and West Grove Fire Companies along with Ambulance 231 all were dispatched for a barn fire in the 1800 block of Ewing Road around 1400 hours. Engine 27-2 went responding minutes later with a crew of 5 and a column of black smoke from their station. With multiple calls coming into the 911 center, Chief 27 added the 1st alarm tanker task force due to no hydrants in the area. The first alarm tanker task force added tankers from 21, 22, 23, 24, L 5-1 and  5-2. Engine 27-2 went on scene with a barn well involved with them laying 5" from the end of the driveway with another barn as a exposure. Engine 23-1 with 4 responded along with Tanker 23. Crews assisted with fire suppression and a large amount of overhaul. Tankers pumped water into tanker 21 as they were being used as the nurse tanker. Engine 23-1 crew pulled an 1 3/4" hand line protecting the exposure due to the fully involved barn collapsing. Crews worked for a total of around 3 hours.
