The Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company along with Longwood, Kennett, Avondale, and Fame (RIT) were dispatched to the 200 block of East Street Road for a garage at 1314 hours. FM 100 was the first to arrive with a garage well involved and extension into the house. Engine 36's crew arrived and laid in from the hydrant. Multiple hand lines were used to begin the fire attack while Ladder 25's crew went into the house to check for extension. Crews from 23-1 assisted while they took the engine in the middle of the lay to boost the pressure to the scene. Engine 23-1's crew assisted with fire attack while Tanker 23 supplied Engine 25-2 with water. Engine 23-2 driver boosted the hydrant due to the long lay while engine 23-1 took the middle of the lay supplying engine 25-2. Due to the large amount of fire and lack of manpower, Chief 36 requested the 2nd alarm assignment. Second alarm crews responded quickly with manpower. Tanker 52-1 was responding to 23 before being pulled into the scene on the second alarm assignment. Crews assisted with pulling siding from the house to make sure there was no extension and assisted with overhaul. Avondale units cleared around 1630 hours
