On Thursday, November 17th officers and members of the Avondale Fire Company traveled to the Wagontown Fire Company for the 2016 Fire 1 Graduation. Firefighter Henry Schlimme and Firefighter Courtney Yaletchko completed over 180 hours of training to receive the certification to be an interior firefighter.

The Firefighter 1 class covers all the basic requirements to be a firefighter. The class was trained in many different aspects of firefighting including the proper way of riding on a firetruck and going inside a burning building.

The officer and members of the Avondale Fire Company would like to congratulate Henry and Courtney on their completion of Fire 1.
