As the Avondale Fire Company members were finishing watching the super bowl they were dispatched for an accident on the Route 1 bypass. Ambulance 23-1 responded with reports of one vehicle off the road into the woods and everyone reported to be out. As rescue 23 made the response, CCFB advised them of a second accident on Garden Station Road. Rescue 23 responded to that accident, while Squad 23 responded to Route 1 accident to assist the ambulance. The ambulance arrived at the first accident with one in the woods only needing fire police and redirected to the second accident on Garden Station Road. Rescue 23 arrived to find one vehicle on its roof. Ambulance 23-1 evaluated two patients and got refusals. Rescue 23 cleared all incidents around 0000 hours.

Monday morning the Avondale Fire Company along with Medic 94 and the Chester County Hazmat Team was then dispatched for a Hazardous Material Incident on State Road. Chief 23 and Chief 15 responded getting reports of a chlorine leak. Fire crews arrived and confirmed a chlorine leak from a malfunctioning piece of equipment. Chief 23 established "Avondale Command" and had crews from Rescue and Engine 23-1 secure valves to the malfunctioning piece of equipment to stop the leak. Crews had no hazardous readings in the building. The property was turned back over to workers and crews cleared the incident.
