Chimney Fire

The Avondale Fire Company along with Ladder 22 from West Grove were dispatched to Angelica Drive for a reported chimney fire at 2120 hours. Assistant 23 was first enroute and received a report of a chimney on fire and the homeowners were evacuated. Assistant 23 arrived to find a 2 story single family dwelling with nothing showing. Engine 23-1 arrived and pulled an 1 3/4” handline off the rear. Engine 1’s crew checked the residence for extension and nothing was found. Ladder 22’s crew checked the chimney and no visible fire was found. Fire was placed under control and crews began to return around 2200 hours.
