At this month's company membership meeting, two members were honored for achieving 50 years of service with Avondale Fire Company. Avondale Fire Company President, Brandon Michaels (left) proudly presented fifty year service awards to lifetime members Davis "Pop-Pop" Howell (middle) and Charlie Owens (right). Over the years, Davis has served as a Trustee and Assistant Engineer. Charlie has served in various roles including President, Vice President, Fire Chief (1988, 1991-93) and Assistant Fire Chief. The Avondale Fire Company would like to thank Davis and Charlie for 50 years of volunteerism in the fire service and their dedication to protecting the residents of our community.
