Fire prevention at Tick Tock daycare

On 10/15/2013 Firefighters Matthew Biondi and Matthew Bessicks from the Avondale Fire Company went to Tick Tock Daycare for a day of fire prevention and fire safety. The firefighters talked to the children about what to do in case of a fire in their home. Some of the topics included how to get out of the house, the importance of staying out once out and meeting spots. The children saw a demonstration of a firefighter placing on the protective equipment to allow them to see what a firefighter would look in an emergency. The firefighters taught the children not to be afraid of the firefighters but to come to them for help. Finally the firefighters took the children outside to see the fire truck, tools and to ask any questions.
