At 7:34am on Sunday, February 27th, Avondale Fire Company was dispatched for a vehicle fire in a field of a commercial property in the 300 block of Egypt Run Road in New Garden Township. Assistant, Rescue, Tanker, and Ambulance 23 responded.

Based on the location of the vehicle in the field, the best access to the scene was the use of a driveway off Starr Road. Assistant 23 arrived to find a roll-off truck with the cab fully involved. Rescue 23 and Tanker 23 arrived shortly thereafter. Tanker 23 supplied water to Rescue 23 while crews from Rescue 23 extinguished the fire with foam and water. The fire was placed under control at 8:00am.

Crews cleared the scene around 8:30am.
