During training on Wednesday night, March 3rd, Avondale Fire Company members traveled to the New Garden Storage facility on Route 41. Crews arrived at 1900 hours and started with a tour of the buildings. Crews went over the electrical rooms, sprinkler systems, and the building lay-out. After the tour was finished, crews set up lighting and signs to act as an interior fire. Crews pulled hand-lines inside the building, as well as extended their hand-lines using the high-rise pack which showed crews the proper way of deploying and extending hand-lines rapidly.
The officers and members would like to extend our thanks to the property owners for allowing us to train in your facility.
