2 Alarm Fire in Mill Creek

The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Mill Creek Fire Company on a second alarm fire on Belmont Drive. Engine 23-2 along with Squad 23 responded on dispatch due to the in-house duty crew. Engine 23-2 arrived and assisted with manpower on-scene before being released by command to relocate to the Hockessin Fire Company. Engine 23-2 and Squad 23 covered Hockessin until 0200 hours. While covering, Engine 23-2 responded to a gas leak in the Five Points local and to an auto accident in the Hockessin local.

While Engine 23-2 and Squad 23 assisted on the two alarm fire, Rescue 36 covered the Avondale local to ensure a quick response.

Mill Creek Fire Company firefighter(s) suffered medical emergencies while operating at the Belmont Drive fire, the officers and members of AFC wish those firefighters a speedy recovery.
