On Saturday, November 5th, Lancaster Tanker 52 responded to two incidents while covering our local as we spent the day in West Chester at live burn training. The first incident occurred just before 1000 for a fire alarm at New Garden Elementary School. Crews investigated and found a faulty alarm within the building and cleared soon after.

The second incident occurred at 1230 for a tree into a house in the 300 block of Hillendale Road. Lancaster Tanker 52 arrived to find that a large tree had fallen onto the roof of a house. Crews shut off the water supply to the house while police contacted the Red Cross to assist the residents. Avondale Fire Company's fire police provided traffic control to assist motorists around emergency vehicles that were parked in the roadway. Crews cleared the scene around 1330 hours.
