Assist Cochranville with a Propane Explosion

The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched at 0758 hours to assist the Cochranville Fire Company with a reported mobile home on fire. Assistant 27 arrived and reported there was a propane explosion with no active fire in the RV. Engine 23-2 arrived as the second due engine and provided manpower to assist in extrication of multiple patients trapped by debris after the explosion. West Grove EMS and Southern Chester County Medics transported patients to local hospitals. Once all patients were extricated, crews got the propane tank secured and assisted with repacking hose.

Crews cleared around 0900 hours.

Other assisting agencies on-scene was West Grove Fire/EMS and Southern Chester County Paramedics.
All other units were returned before arrival.
