On Saturday, January 7th at 1646 hours, the company was alerted to the intersection of Hillendale and Scarlett Road for an auto accident. The rescue and ambulance responded on dispatch due to an in-house duty crew. Due to the call being on the New Garden and Kennett Township lines, Battalion and Rescue 24 from Kennett also made the response. Battalion 24 (Mitchell) arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one vehicle leaning over the embankment. After investigating, it was determined that all occupants were out of their vehicles and
uninjured. Rescue 24 arrived and staged at Chandler Mill and Hillendale Road to assist the fire police. Due to the leaning SUV, possibly rolling down the hill, crews remained on-scene and waited for Blittersdorf's Towing. Once the vehicles were removed, crews cleaned up debris. Fire Police from Avondale and Kennett assisted with road closures around the incident. Final units cleared at 1757 hours.
