At 1620 hours, the Avondale Fire Company along with West Grove, Cochranville, and Oxford fire companies were dispatched to a reported residential fire in the 200 Block of Lewisville Road in New London Township. A passerby reported flames coming from both the side and rear of the residence.

Engine 23-2 made the response with four personnel with Tanker 23 following behind.

Arriving West Grove units found an outside fire that had extended to the house. West Grove's Engine 22-2's crew made a quick knock on the fire. Brief overhaul of the outside siding showed very minimal fire damage to the residence with only a smoke condition inside the home.

Engine 23-2 arrived as the fourth due engine but was quickly released along with the tanker once the situation was placed under control and held to West Grove and Oxford units.
