The Avondale Fire Company was alerted to assist West Grove Fire Company on a residential fire. Engine 2, Tanker, Chief and Captain 23 all responded on dispatch. Engine 23-2 arrived as the third engine and established the water supply operation, supplying water to the scene. Crews stretched a backup handline to the second floor of the house and assisted with fire attack and overhaul. While Engine 23-1 responded with 5, they were redirected to an electrical fire inside. Crews found a burning odor caused by an overload on a power outlet and cleared soon after.

Crews remained on the fire scene until 2300 hours and final units were back in service around 0100 hours.
