| At 0309 hours, Avondale Fire Company, along with Medic 94 of Southern Chester County EMS, were dispatched to the 1600 block of Newark Road in West Marlborough Township for a reported auto accident with entrapment.
Ambulance 23-1 and Squad 23 responded a few minutes after dispatch. Ambulance 23-1 and Medic 94-2 arrived to find an SUV on its side up against an embankment with 1 patient confined inside the vehicle.
Squad 23 crews arrived and began the stabilization process by utilizing both struts and wedges to keep the vehicle from moving or tipping over. Once the vehicle was confirmed to be stable, crews began the extrication process.
