| At 0659 hours on September 19, Station 23 was dispatched for an engine to assist Singerly Fire Company on a working building fire. Shortly after the initial dispatch, Station 23 was re-alerted for the tanker as part of the tanker task force. Engine 23 made the response followed by the tanker. Engine 23 arrived on the scene and was given the order to establish a fill site at the hydrant at the Cecil County fairgrounds. The engine responded to this location and established the fill site. The engine remained at this location for the duration of the incident. Tanker 23 arrived on the scene and shuttled water from the fill site to the fire grounds. The tanker hauled about 9 loads of water. Roughly 150,000 gallons of water was used to refill multiple tankers going in and out of the tanker shuttle. Units cleared the scene at 1228 hours. |
