It is with great pleasure that the Avondale Fire Company and EMS division announce that they have hired Stephen Nuse as the new EMS Supervisor. Nuse is replacing Cindy Schroder and took over the roll effective 7/1/2014. Nuse was selected out of several potential candidates after a long interview process. Nuse has been with Avondale Fire Company for 6 years as an EMT. Nuse obtained his EMT certification from Good Fellowship Training Institute in 2006. He has experience in career emergency services for the past 10 years. In addition to being a employee of Avondale, Nuse also is employed as a firefighter EMT at several other departments. He also holds the current rank of Chief at local fire company Po-Mar-lin.

The Avondale supervisor manages a staff of 20-25 for its 24/7 EMS coverage of the EMS district. Avondale's EMS district includes all of Avondale Borough and New Garden Township as well as portions of London Grove, London Britain, Franklin and West Marlborough townships. The EMS division runs approximately 1,300 emergencies each year.

The officers and members of the Avondale Fire Company would like to welcome Stephen to this new position and remind him that we are here to help anyway possible. Congratulations and looking forward to the future.
