Accident Up An Embankment

The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched at 1540 hours for an Auto Accident on Newark Road in the area of Starr Road. Chief and Ambulance 23 arrived at 1543 hours to find a vehicle up an embankment. The driver was out of the vehicle and un-injured. Rescue 23 arrived and took a blocking position, the rescue crew stood-by while the tow truck removed the vehicle from the bank. Fire Police shut down Newark Road at Route 41 and Starr Road. Once the vehicle was removed, crews assisted with debris in the roadway.
Final units cleared at 1606 hours.
