The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to assist Kennett Fire Company at 0923 hours for a house fire. Engine 23-2 went enroute with 5 personnel at 0929 hours. Chief 24 (Melton) went on scene at 0931 hours with heavy smoke showing from the D (Delta) side. Engine 23-2 arrived to pull a 3” to supply tanker 19 (Hockessin). The engine crew went into service with overhaul to pull ceilings and walls to check for extension.
