On Sunday, May 3rd, the Avondale Fire Company was requested for one engine to relocate to Station 24 (Kennett) while they operated with Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company on a working house fire. While Engine 23-1 was enroute with four to Kennett, Chief 36 (S. Nuse) requested two more engines. At this time, Engine 23-1 and Engine 39-1 were rerouted to the scene. Engine 23-1 went responding to the scene. While the engine was on the scene, the crew was requested to the basement to check for extension. The engine crew found fire in the beams and walls of the basement. The crew from Engine 1 helped roll hose and helped repack the 5 inch hose on to Kennett Engine (24-2). Engine 23-1 went available at 1401 hours.

Special thanks to Tanker 52-1 for the relocate to Avondale.
