Vehicle Into House

The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched on 5/17 for a vehicle into a house around 2045 hours in the 100 block of Laurel Heights Road. Chief 23 responded within a minute and was given the report of a car that hit a house with unknown reported injuries. Rescue 23 (D. Ianni) responded with a crew of 5 personnel. Chief 23 arrived on scene confirming one vehicle into the house and established Laurel Heights Command. Engine 23-1 (R. Franks) went responding with a crew of 4 personnel. Once on scene, the engine and rescue crews assisted with patient packaging, stabilizing the vehicle, securing utilities to the residence and air monitoring of the interior of the residence. The Engine and Rescue were utilized for lighting. Ambulance 23-1 took one patient to Christiana Hospital. The company went available around 2300 hours.
