What is a KnoxBox?

A KnoxBox is a small, wall-mounted safe that holds building keys for first responders to retrieve in emergency situations.

How can you get a KnoxBox?

Each KnoxBox is specifically keyed to only allow access from your local fire company. It is important to follow these steps to ensure that your box is keyed appropriately:

1. Go to www.knoxbox.com
2. Click the BUY button in the top right hand corner of the site.
3. For businesses and residents served by Avondale Fire Company, select "Pennsylvania" from the "Your location" drop-down list. Type Avondale Fire Dept in "Local fire department/agency" box and click the Search button. Click the Select button to select Avondale Fire Dept, Avondale, PA. (Be sure to select the correct department. Selecting the wrong department may result in an incorrect key and a fee to have the key changed.)
4. Select and configure the product that you would like for your property.
5. Pay and submit for approval. Avondale Fire Company will automatically receive an email with a notification of your purchase.
6. After approvals, your product will be delivered and ready for installation.
7. Call Avondale Fire Company at 610-268-2486 after you have had your KnoxBox installed. A representative will come out with a key to open your box and place your key inside. The box will be locked and secured for a future emergency.
