The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched to Bancroft Road for a reported medical emergency. Chief, Rescue, Squad, and the Ambulance responded. While Avondale crews operated on the medical call, Kennett Fire Company was dispatched to an auto accident on Kaolin Road. Chester County Fire Board continued to get reports of entrapment and multiple patients. Ambulance 24-1 arrived asking for multiple EMS units and a second rescue. Since the AFC units were clearing the medical call, Chief 23 called the Rescue 24 officer (Battalion Chief Brady) asking if he would like AFC's assistance. Rescue 23 was added and responded with 6. Traffic 23 and fire police were also added to the incident. Chief and Rescue 23 arrived, where the crews provided patient packaging and assisted in the removal of a driver's side door for extrication. Extrication was completed within minutes. Avondale and Kennett Fire Police closed Kaolin Road in multiple spots and detoured traffic.
