Avondale members and career staff attended a special ceremony on January 25 for Patrolman First Class Joseph Cooper.
Officer Cooper was honored for his years of service to the greater community as a police officer with the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department.

A retirement walkout ceremony was held for Officer Cooper at the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department in New Garden Township. Officer Cooper walked in front of an honor guard of police officers and first responders. For everyone that knows Officer Cooper, knows he displayed the attributes that make great police officers - honor, service to the community, respect for the law, and he was also a very good friend to many of us.

The Avondale Fire Company Officers, Members and Career Staff were honored to be involved in this special ceremony, and to stand with other first responders in honoring Officer Cooper.

Officer Cooper, we wish you a great retirement. It is well deserved sir.
