Call #1 - Crews were dispatched to the 100 Block of Castlebay Lane in Franklin Township at 1238 hours for a reported CO alarm going off in the residence.
Chief, Engine, and EMS made the response on dispatch. Crews arrived, investigated, and determined there was an issue with the detector. The property was turned back over to the homeowner, and units cleared.

Call #2 - At 1519 hours, SCCRPD was dispatched to the 200 block of Laurel Heights Road in New Garden Township for a burn complaint.
SCCRPD arrived to find an advanced field fire spreading towards a house.
Crews overheard SCCRPD call the incident in via the radio, allowing the Chief, Engine, and EMS to respond prior to dispatch at 1532 hours.
Chief 23 (S. Cole) arrived to find just over 2 acres of field and grass actively burning, and continuing to spread.
Chief 23 instructed Engine 23 to forward lay a 5" supply line from the nearby hydrant into the driveway.
Once Engine 23 was in the driveway, crews deployed handlines and the high rise packs to begin fire suppression.
Chief 23 established command and requested ATV's to the scene, which added Stations 24, 27, and 36.
As crews continued fire suppression, the homeowner used the bucket of a John Deere tractor to assist with knocking the fire down.
At this point, the incident was reduced to units from AFC, ATV 24 and Engine 24.
ATV 24 arrived, assisting with soaking down the perimeter.
The fire was placed under control at 1557 hours. Final units cleared at 1645 hours.

Fire police arrived to find a property damage auto accident, and PD needed assistance with traffic control.

With this request, Ambulance 231 and Squad 23 were dispatched.
It was determined that only fire police and EMS were needed. The fire response was held in station.
