In the early morning of Monday November 24th, The Avondale Fire Company was alerted to the 200 block of Richards Way in New Garden Township for a reported electrical fire inside.
Squad 23 made the response with a crew of 4. Additional reports were the outlet was sparking and the wall was hot around the outlet. Squad 23 arrived first stretching a 200’ handline to the front door while the officer investigated the situation. Squad 23’s crew found a small fire inside the wall beginning to catch the insulation on fire.
Engine 23 arrived as the second due engine and stood by at the nearby hydrant and assisted with manpower. The incident was quickly brought under control and units cleared.

Upon further inspection, crews found a burnt outlet behind the wall
A small inspection hole was made so fire personnel could see
