At 1656 hours on January 4th, the Avondale Fire Company, along with Medic 94, were dispatched to the 8800 block of Gap Newport Pike in New Garden Township for a reported auto accident with subjects trapped in the vehicle.
Chief, Deputy, Assistant, Squad, and both Ambulances (A23-1 & A23-2) made the response shortly after dispatch with the engine responding soon after.
First arriving crews reported two vehicles - one with heavy rear end damage, and negative entrapment for both vehicles.
Crews swept up scattered debris as well as put down oil dry on leaking fluids.
Fire Police and the Traffic Unit had Route 41 closed at Penn Green Road and Ellicott Road for the duration of the incident. Deputy Chief Cole held Avondale Command for the incident.
