The Avondale Fire Company, along with West Grove Fire Company EMS, was dispatched to the intersection of West State Street and Pennsylvania Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident.
Squad, Ambulance, Chief, and Deputy units responded immediately upon dispatch. Upon arrival, crews found one vehicle that had struck a utility pole, with one occupant still inside the vehicle. The occupant was evaluated and found to be uninjured.
Fire Police established traffic control to ensure scene safety, and crews also provided scene lighting. A notification was sent to PECO regarding damage to the utility pole. Avondale personnel assisted Blittersdorf’s Towing with lighting and scene cleanup before returning to service.
