The Avondale Fire Company was dispatched with the West Grove Fire Company at 1546 hours for a reported house fire in the 500 block of South Guernsey Road. Engine 22 arrived with fire showing from a single family dwelling. Engine 22 went in-service with their hand-line knocking the bulk of the fire. Engine 23-2 arrived and assisted the WGFC's engine crew with pulling siding and opening up the exterior of the house. Engine 23-1 arrived making entry into the house and opening up the walls and ceiling to check for extensions. The fire was placed under control. Avondale units cleared at 1620 hours.
