It is with deep regret that Avondale Fire Company announces the passing of Life Member and longtime Fire Police Officer Robert "Bob" Massey. Bob started his fire service in 1952 as a member of West Grove Fire Company and later joined Avondale Fire Company in 1977. Through the years, Bob and his wife Louise have received many awards including Fire Police of the Year from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Fire Police of the Year from Chester County, Top 10 Responder, and many others. To many, Bob was a familiar sight to see at every fire call regardless of the time of day.

Bob will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cole and Massey families.

All are invited to visit with Mr. Massey's family Monday March 1st from 10:00 to 11:00 am
at the Foulk Funeral Home located at 200 Rose Hill Road West Grove, PA.
Funeral service will follow at 11:00.
Burial will be held at the Oxford Cemetery on Route 10 in Oxford, PA.

Fire apparatus is welcome to join the procession, apparatus will line up on Welcome Avenue.
Fire Police will be present assisting with the line up process.

COVID-19 restrictions must be followed, and there is a limitation on persons permitted in the funeral home.
