Avondale Fire Company is excited to announce that once again, we will have the honor of driving Santa Claus around the area.
Santa will begin his area tour around 11:00AM on Saturday, December 4th. He plans to tour the northern side of Rt. 41 until approximately 4:00PM. Santa will take a short break to rest up before heading out to the annual Toughkenamon Tree Lighting near Harvest Ridge Winery at 1140 Newark Rd, Toughkenamon, PA 19374. He plans to see everyone there at 6:00PM.
Santa will complete his trip to the area on Sunday, December 5th, when he will be visiting the neighborhoods in our local area on the southern side of Rt. 41 from 11:00AM until 4:00PM.
A map is embedded below to help visualize Santa's planned routes over these two days.
In the interest of Santa’s health for his big trip on Christmas Eve, his elves have asked that we not stop for pictures so that he can maintain his social distancing. You will know that he is close when you hear the sirens of our fire trucks and see our flashing lights, so make sure you come outside when you first hear us in the distance.
Avondale Fire Company will also be using our real-time Santa tracking technology so that you can see the location of Santa and our fire trucks during our routes. As we get closer to Santa’s visit, we’ll post updates with the links to follow along on the journey, so make sure to stay tuned to our website and social media pages for updates.
The community has been extremely generous about donating to our organization as we bring Santa around, but in the era of COVID, we ask that if you are interested in donating to us, you do so through our official Venmo or PayPal accounts available from our website link below, or by mailing a donation to our station at 23 Firehouse Way, Avondale, PA 19311.
